Thank you for your generosity and support of this year’s Catholic mission Socktober Campaign. Together we have raised $718.50. An outstanding effort!
Early this week our uniforms were transformed, and we had a sea of colour, with everyone wearing their craziest socks. All this to help raise money for a great cause.
All of the proceeds we collected will go towards supporting Catholic Missions in their mission to the help the vulnerable young people attending a medical clinic and a children's home in Venilale. Our contributions can help children who truly need it to access better health, nutritional and educational outcomes, showcasing the spirit of solidarity that defines our school community.
Later in the day we got to have a soccer shootout that added even more excitement to our day. The students kicked 463 goals in total and had much fun as they successfully kicked goals past our goalies, Mr Billion, classroom teachers and Neil from the Australian Futsal Association.
Our Joey's community truly knows how to come together for a great cause while having tons of fun!
Thank you to Mrs AU for all her help and setup of equipment for the afternoon. A special thanks to Year 6 and Year 5 students who kept track of the goals and helped and cheered our younger students to have a go.
And thank you to each one of you for making a difference in the lives of the children in Timor-Leste.
