Our School Prayer: A Living Expression of St Joey's
Our school prayer is a special part of who we are at St Joseph's. Created through the contributions of students, staff, families, parish representatives and Brisbane Catholic Education, it reflects the faith, values and spirit that unite our community.
Since its endorsement, the prayer has become an important part of daily life at St Joey's. It is prayed in classrooms, shared at assemblies and liturgies, and celebrated in our parish church. These moments of prayer help to strengthen our Catholic identity and remind us to live each day with courage, faith and love.
The collaborative journey to create the prayer remains a source of great pride for our school. Through consultation and reflection, our community crafted a prayer that honours the rich history of St Joseph's while capturing the hopes and aspirations of who we are today.
To help strengthen the connection between school and home, every new family receives a school prayer card as part of their Welcome Pack. This keepsake invites families to join us in prayer and provides a meaningful reminder of the faith-filled community they have become a part of.
Whether prayed in the classroom, at a school gathering or around the family table, our school prayer continues to bring us together and guide us in living out our Catholic story.
